Test the Chia Cloud Wallet

by Chia Team

12/4/2024: Edited to change Chia Signer Link from Testflight to App Store

Today we’re opening up the Chia Cloud Wallet for an Engineering Open Beta on Testnet! During this testing period, you’ll be able to create an account and start interacting with the Chia Cloud Wallet’s features.

Read the Getting Started Guide here and access the Chia Cloud Wallet here. Once the vault launches on chain (Note: this may take a few minutes since it has to get in a transaction block), it will have an address which you can put into the faucet to get some test funds.

The Context

Without using CEXs, wallets have historically been difficult to access and use. The Chia Cloud Wallet will allow folks an easier way to self-custody their digital assets and more intelligently and securely control their entire portfolio.

While this test is still very much an early beta in functionality, we see the Chia Cloud Wallet as the next evolution of how most users will use Chia for years to come.

So, What’s Available Today?

This Engineering Open Beta will be tested on Testnet as we’re still squashing bugs. Critical security issues will be eligible under the scope of the Bug Bounty Program, so if you find anything, please report it here! Quality-of-life and UX bugs will not be eligible.

The Key Features:

  • Self custody your Chia assets with an always synced vault
  • Create and manage your vault using a passkey as the signer
  • Turn your iPhone into a hardware wallet you can take everywhere by installing the Chia Signer App
  • In case of lost keys, recover your vault by inputting a BLS phrase

We’re excited to open this up to the larger community and know that you’ll play an important part in shaping how we move forward with the product and the future of Chia!
